Every ladder on these sheets starts or ends on a Christmas or winter word — BELL, GIFT, CARD, SOCK, COLD and CAKE on the intermediate sheets; STARS, BELLS, CANDY, SLEDS, CAKES and SCARF at advanced — so the set works as a last-week-of-term activity without changing the puzzle. The words come from the same hand-checked lists as the main sets, and each ladder is verified to be solvable in the number of steps shown.
Two intermediate sheets (4-letter words, 2nd–3rd grade) and two advanced sheets (5-letter words, 4th–6th grade). Four ladders per sheet, answer page behind each, US Letter. There is no easy Christmas sheet because too few Christmas words are three-letter CVC words; the easy set and the Halloween easy sheets suit kindergarten and 1st grade.
